Retake reimbursement (Lifetime only)

Every paid pass can win your money back. Lifetime can also win back what the testing provider charged you to sit the exam again. That second part is the SurePass Guarantee Pro, and it is the only thing the tiers differ on.

What it pays

We reimburse the official retake fee you actually paid out of your own pocket — one funded retake per exam, ever, not one per attempt. It is paid on top of the refund, not instead of it. If your firm or employer paid your exam fees, your claim is the full refund of your pass.

• A single exam is uncapped to its true fee. Whatever the certifying body charges to re-sit, that is what we pay. Your exam's own pricing screen names the figure.
• Some exams have no single published fee, because the price depends on where you sit or what body you belong to. On those, the screen reads "up to" an amount — CMA (AAMA), for example, reads up to $250 toward your retake fee — and we pay the lower of that ceiling and what your receipt shows. A member paying the members' rate is reimbursed the members' rate.
• A certification earned by passing more than one exam covers each exam on its own, and those exams share one cap: the full cost of retaking every exam in that certification.
• In a bundle, each qualifying exam is paid its true fee, with the total capped at the fee of the most expensive single exam in that bundle. One certification counts as one exam for that purpose.

What you have to clear

More than the refund does, because this is cash leaving on top of the refund:

• 80% or higher on two qualifying mock sittings, and
• your SurePass readiness meter at "Getting close" or above when you clear them, and
• the same strict timing every claim has — see "The SurePass Guarantee in plain words".

How it is paid

It is a reimbursement, not a payout, so it happens in this order:

1. File your claim with your official score report, as every claim is filed.
2. Once the claim is approved, book and pay for your retake.
3. Email the receipt showing what you paid to support@capitalprep.com, within 90 days of opening your claim. Without a receipt there is no fee to reimburse, so this is the one document we cannot work around.
4. We reimburse it within 10 business days of receiving the receipt.
