Changing your mind — the money-back window
On a paid pass

This is separate from the SurePass Guarantee. It is the plain "I bought the wrong thing" window, and it asks one thing of you: that you ask in time, and before you sit your exam.
The three windows. You can ask for your money back within 24 hours on the 7-Day Pass, 48 hours on the 30-Day Pass, and 72 hours on Lifetime, measured from your purchase (or from your upgrade, if you upgraded).
| Pass | You can ask for your money back within |
|---|---|
| 7-Day Pass | 24 hours of purchase |
| 30-Day Pass | 48 hours of purchase |
| Lifetime | 72 hours of purchase |
The windows are short on the shorter passes because a 7-Day Pass is most of the way used up by the second day. An upgrade is a new purchase, so it starts the window again. Bundles are sold as Lifetime, so a bundle gets Lifetime's window.
The one condition. The window closes the moment you sit your exam — a refund after you've sat it is the SurePass Guarantee's job, not this one. Inside the window and before your exam, there are no other conditions: no usage test, no minimum study, no questions asked.
If you're in the EEA or the UK, you have 14 days from purchase to change your mind under your local law — that applies whatever the window above says. Just email us.
How to ask. Email support@capitalprep.com from your account's email address inside the window and tell us which exam. We refund the full amount to your original payment method within 2 business days. Your bank may take a few days more to show it.
After the window, the SurePass Guarantee is the route — it pays out on the exam result rather than on a change of mind. See "The SurePass Guarantee in plain words".
Nothing renews. Passes are one-time payments, so there is no subscription to cancel and no second charge coming.
