Miles, the AI tutor — what he can and cannot do

Miles is the tutor built into every study surface. Ask him anything about your exam's material and he answers grounded in your actual study guide — with citations, so you can jump to the section and read the source yourself.

What Miles does well

• Explains concepts in plain language, at whatever depth you ask.
• Explains your misses. After a wrong answer, ask him why — he connects the question to the underlying concept and the guide section to reread.
• Grades your Teach Back. Explain a topic in your own words and he tells you what you nailed and what you fuzzed (see "Mnemonics, Teach Back and the Vault").
• Generates mnemonics and flashcards from the guide's content.

What Miles deliberately doesn't do

• He never computes your numbers. Your readiness score, accuracy, and coverage come from the deterministic scoring system; Miles only narrates them. An AI that invented your readiness would be a liability, not a tutor.
• He won't stray off your exam. Answers are grounded in your exam's corpus. If something isn't in the material, he won't fabricate it.

Usage limits (fair-use, to keep him fast for everyone):

• Free trial: 15 messages to try him out.
• Paid passes: 100 messages per day — far more than a heavy study day uses.
• Active on 2 devices at a time per account.

A tip: Miles is most useful right after a miss, while the question is fresh — that's when an explanation converts into retention.
