Do I still need the 20-hour SAFE Act course?
Yes, and we do not sell it. The 20 hours of NMLS-approved pre-licensure education is a legal requirement you buy from an approved provider before you can be licensed. This is exam prep for the national test — a different thing, bought separately, and nothing here replaces it.
How does the SurePass Guarantee work?

Which pass should I buy?
Testing inside a week? The 7-Day Pass. A month out? The 30-Day. If your date might move — and on a licensing timeline it usually does — Lifetime never expires and is the only tier that covers your retake fee.
Are the questions like the real test?
Same shape: four options, one best answer, written to NMLS's own content outline and weighted to its five content areas. They are not real test questions, and they never will be — NMLS's candidate agreement forbids studying from live test content, and any seller who hints otherwise is telling you something that would cost you your license.
What score do I need to pass?
NMLS publishes it and federal law fixes it: 75%. That is NMLS's number, not ours. Our own qualifying score for the guarantee is 85%+, deliberately higher — and because the real test is built fresh for every candidate and statistically equated, a percentage on our mock is a readiness signal rather than a prediction of NMLS's verdict.
What happens when my pass expires?
Access stops; nothing is deleted. Your highlights, notes, flashcard schedule and answer history are all still there if you come back, and they carry over if you upgrade to Lifetime.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes — it is built phone-first, and it works offline. Your due flashcards and a set of practice questions download automatically, so you can study with no signal and everything syncs when you are back online.
If I fail, how soon can I retest?
NMLS makes you wait 30 days after each of your first three attempts. Fail a third time and the wait is 180 days. Every attempt costs the full $110 again — there is no discounted retake — which is why the retake reimbursement on Lifetime is worth more here than the sticker price suggests.
Is this the same test in every state?
Yes. Since 2013 the national test includes the uniform state content, so one test covers both — that is what the 'with Uniform State Content' in its name means. Your state may still require its own education or a state-specific test on top; check your state's NMLS licensing page.
How current is the material?
The guide was written to the 2026 content outline and every chapter carries its own dated sourcing. Mortgage rules change mid-cycle — thresholds, dollar figures and agency letters especially — so where a number has a live effective date we say so rather than printing it as timeless.
Do you offer refunds if I change my mind?
Yes, separately from the pass guarantee: 24 hours on the 7-Day Pass, 48 hours on the 30-Day Pass, or 72 hours on Lifetime, measured from your purchase (or from your upgrade, if you upgraded) — no questions asked, as long as you haven't sat your exam yet. EEA and UK buyers also keep their 14-day statutory right. The SurePass Guarantee is the other promise — that one is about your exam result, not about changing your mind.
My test date moved. Does the plan adjust?
Change the date and the whole plan rebuilds around it — same content, redistributed across the days you now have. That is also why Lifetime exists: a licensing date that slips twice is normal.
