The Capital Prep Method
What to study, when to study it & the exact moment you're ready.
Cut out the months of studying you don't need. Praxis 5004 prep that adapts every day — no guessing what to do next.
SurePass readiness
A readiness score built from your own answers, not a bar that fills because you clicked. Recent work counts heaviest, so the half hour you find between classes or a placement shift actually moves it.

Anywhere Mode · Study from your pocket
Ten minutes of scrolling — or ten minutes closer to passing.
Your phone is already in your hand. Two taps, no signal needed.
- Quick Ten — One tap. Ten questions, with the rationale on every one.
- It downloads itself — No button, no setup, nothing to remember.
- No bars? Still works — Airplane mode, the subway, a cabin in the woods.
- Nothing gets lost. Ever. — Saves as you tap, syncs when you're back.
Flashcards and practice questions work offline. The study guide, audio and full-length mocks need a connection.

Questions, answered
What's inside the study portal?
The full Fast Track Study System — every practice question, every flashcard deck, full-length mock exams, narrated audio, Miles the AI tutor, and the entire study guide, every chapter readable and highlightable. The cheat sheet — the highest-yield facts as a PDF — is in the study portal on every pass, with instant access to download it. Every pass opens all of it, backed by the SurePass Guarantee.
What score do I need to pass?
Your state decides, not ETS. ETS writes and scores 5004 on a 100-200 scale, and in its own words: "Passing scores are not set by ETS, and they vary by state." Read off ETS's own state-requirements pages in October 2026, the jurisdictions that list 5004 set their qualifying scores between 137 and 157, so two candidates can sit the same test and need different numbers. Look yours up on ETS's site before you book. What you do get is a verdict: your official ETS score report shows whether you passed against the score your state requires. The 80% our mocks are marked against is ours, not ETS's, and it is also the score that qualifies you for the guarantee.
How does the SurePass Guarantee work?
Score 80%+ on one full-length mock, sit the real test, and if your official ETS score report says you did not pass, we refund what you paid. On Lifetime, clear two mocks with your readiness meter at "Getting close" or above and we also pay your full $64 retake fee — one funded retake, in full. You file in your study portal with the score report, which prints your score, your state's required score and the verdict on one page. What it does not cover: ETS's 3% online service fee, the $5 Nevada test-center surcharge, phone-registration and date-change fees, and any other subtest of the Multiple Subjects battery. The bar our mocks use is ours; ETS sets no qualifying score for 5004.
How many full-length mocks do I get?
Four scored full-length sittings, each a brand-new 60-question paper built to ETS's three content categories in the shares ETS prints — 45% United States History, Government, and Citizenship, 30% Geography, Anthropology, and Sociology, 25% World History and Economics — and timed to the real 60 minutes. Practice questions and timed practice are unlimited and never use one. For comparison: ETS sells three official 5004 practice forms at $24.95 each and gives every registrant Form 1 free, and its Learning Paths course includes two more. Each is a fixed paper. Ours are drawn fresh from the whole 480-question bank.
Is 5004 the test my state wants?
Check this before you buy anything, from us or anyone. "Elementary social studies" on the Praxis is sold under several codes. 5004 is the Social Studies Subtest of Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects (5001). 7004 is a different code, and some states list it instead. 8004, Elementary Education Fundamentals: Social Studies, is ETS's newer test, and several states already accept it or require it. 5904 is the version inside the three-subject bundle. ETS publishes each state's required codes on its state-requirements pages. Everything here (the questions, the guide, the mocks and the guarantee) is built for 5004 only, and it covers the social studies subtest, not the other three subtests of 5001.
Which pass should I buy?
Match it to your date, and if there is any chance you will sit twice, buy Lifetime. ETS's rule is the reason: a retake must be at least 28 days after your previous test date, so a fail costs four weeks as well as the fee, and Lifetime is the only tier that pays the retake. If you have already passed the other subtests and this is the one left, Lifetime is built for you. If your date is inside a week, the 7-Day covers a final-week check. The 30-Day suits a first attempt booked within the month, and its one weakness is covered: a 30-Day buyer who does not pass gets a full refund and Lifetime access free, so she can keep studying through the 28-day wait.
What does the test cost, and what does a retake cost?
ETS charges $64 for the 5004 subtest, or $180 if you register for all four Multiple Subjects subtests together as the Master Test, plus a 3% online service fee. A retake is a new registration at $64, and it must be at least 28 days after your previous test date; ETS cancels the scores and keeps the fee if you sit sooner. Two ETS programs limit the damage. Free After 3 gives free retakes once you have completed three attempts on the same test, for five years. And in some states, a score close enough to the cut qualifies for Praxis Bridge, a $50 module that ETS marks "Alt. Passed" on completion. Our Lifetime guarantee pays your full $64 retake fee, which nothing else on this test does.
Are the questions like the real test?
Close, and here is how. Every item is a four-option selected-response question written to ETS's 18 topics for 5004 and weighted the way ETS weights its three categories, with one key and a reason given for every option, including why each wrong one is wrong. That matches the format ETS shows in its Study Companion. Two honest differences. ETS's samples include a question that reads a bar graph, and our bank has no rendered graph, map or table. And ETS says some of its 60 questions may not count toward your score without saying how many, while all 60 of ours are scored.
What about ETS's own study materials?
Worth having, and worth knowing what each is. The 5001 Study Companion is a free PDF with the 5004 outline and 11 keyed sample questions. ETS sells three 5004 practice forms at $24.95 each, and registering for the test gets you Form 1 free. Its Learning Paths Elementary Social Studies course is $99.99 for 180 days, with lessons, practice questions and two full-length tests. On the same page it resells Brainscape flashcards at $50 for six months and a Study.com course at $190 for four months. ETS's policy on all of it: "All sales are final." They come from the people who write the test, which we cannot claim, and they work well alongside us. Prices move, so check them before you buy.
Is 5004 being replaced?
Yes, eventually. ETS launched its successor, 8004, with a first full administration on March 9, 2026, and says the current test series retires in August 2028; it has not published a last test date. 8004 is a different test, 77 questions in 100 minutes with its own outline, and this course does not prepare you for it. If your state still lists 5004 and you are sitting it before then, this is built for you. Lifetime means your access to this course does not expire. It does not mean ETS will keep offering 5004.
What happens when my pass expires?
Your account stays and your work stays with it — notes, highlights and flashcard history are all there if you come back. The paid features stop. You can upgrade at any time and pick up exactly where you left off, and an upgrade always credits what you already paid.
My exam date moved. Does the plan adjust?
Yes. Change the date and the Game Plan rebuilds around the new one — it works backwards from your date, so a move forward compresses it and a move back spreads it out. Nothing is lost.
Can I use it on my phone, and does it work offline?
Yes to both. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app. Your due flashcards and a set of practice questions download automatically, and the whole study guide downloads too, narrated audio included — so a bus ride with no signal is still study time. Scored mocks and the tutor wait for a connection.
Do you offer refunds if I change my mind?
Yes, separately from the pass guarantee: 24 hours on the 7-Day Pass, 48 hours on the 30-Day Pass, or 72 hours on Lifetime, measured from your purchase (or from your upgrade, if you upgraded) — no questions asked, as long as you haven't sat your exam yet. EEA and UK buyers also keep their 14-day statutory right. The SurePass Guarantee is the other promise — that one is about your exam result, not about changing your mind.
Why are SurePass guarantees limited?
Because we honor them. Every guarantee is a real financial commitment, so a limited number opens for this exam each day. The allocation resets at midnight in your own time zone, and the counter shows how many of today's are still open.
