This is the ParaPathways Assessment, test code 5757, sat as two subtests: 5758 Reading and Writing and 5759 Mathematics. ETS also still sells the older ParaPro Assessment, code 1755, and the two are different tests with different lengths, different timing and different scores. Our bank, guide, mocks and guarantee cover ParaPathways only. Which one counts is decided by your state or district, not by ETS and not by us, and some accept only one of them — so before you buy anything, from us or anyone, check your state's requirement. ETS publishes the list and says the same thing: confirm the test is accepted by your state or local education agency before you schedule.

Score 80%+ on one full-length mock, sit the real exam, and if you don't pass we refund what you paid. On Lifetime, clear two mocks with your readiness meter at "Getting close" or above and we also pay up to $75 toward your retake fee. Because your state sets the qualifying score and sets one for each subtest, passing means meeting your own state's mark on both. If you miss, you wait 21 days, register again and pay again — and Lifetime is the tier that pays that for you.

ETS charges $75 for both subtests taken at home and $59 at a test center; a single subtest is $37.50 at home or $29.50 at a center. There is no discounted retake — a re-sit is a fresh registration at the same price — and you can retake once straight away, after which ETS makes you wait 21 days. Because the subtests are registered and scored separately, most people who need a second attempt only re-sit the half they missed, which is why our Lifetime tier covers up to $75 toward your retake fee rather than one flat figure: we pay what your receipt actually says, up to the ceiling. Some districts pay the first attempt for you — ETS sells them prepaid vouchers that cover the full test fee and last two years.

87 questions in 2 hours 25 minutes, split into two separately timed subtests. 5758 Reading and Writing is 51 questions in 85 minutes — Reading is about 30 of them and Writing about 21. 5759 Mathematics is 36 questions in 60 minutes, split about evenly between Numbers and Operations and Geometry, Measurement, & Data Analysis, with an on-screen four-function calculator you may use for that subtest only. Roughly one question in three across our bank puts you in a classroom and asks what a paraeducator helping a student should do, rather than testing the skill on its own.

Whatever your own state or district says. ETS is explicit about this: it does not set qualifying scores for these assessments, and each agency that uses one sets its own. The scores that are published run from 322 to 332 on Reading and Writing and 325 to 334 on Mathematics, they are set for each subtest separately, and you have to meet both. ETS publishes the current list, so look up yours and study to it. The 80% our mocks score against is our own bar, stated as ours, and it is also the score that qualifies you for the guarantee.

Worth having, and we would rather you knew what they are. The Study Companion is free and it carries the full outline with sample questions for both subtests, and there is a free study planner beside it. Beyond that ETS sells QuizStack and an Official Prep eBook at $22.50 each per subtest, interactive practice tests from $12.50, and a Study.com course on its own storefront at $99.95 against a $180 list. They come from the body that writes the exam, which is something we cannot claim. They are also sold per subtest, each interactive practice test is "a 90-day subscription or 10 uses, whichever occurs first" in ETS's own words, and none of them refunds you or covers a retake fee. Prices move and ETS runs seasonal coupons, so check them yourself.

Your account stays; the paid features stop. Your notes, highlights and flashcard history are all still there if you come back, and Lifetime never expires.

Mostly, and here is the part that is not. Every item is written to ETS's published content categories, weighted category by category, with a rationale on each, and every key was recomputed from its own question before the explanation was read. Reading and Writing also includes the pick-exactly-two format and the find-the-error-in-the-sentence format you will meet on the day. What we do differently: on the real Mathematics subtest some answers are typed into a box, and ours are multiple choice. That makes our math items a little kinder than the real ones, which is the honest reason our mock bar is set high rather than low. The real test also uses a few click-and-drag and select-in-the-passage formats we do not reproduce.
