ASCP reports a scaled score, and in 2025 MLS scores ran from 100 to 895 with a mean of 462. A scaled score is not a percentage of questions correct, so nobody can honestly convert it into one — including us. The 85% our mocks score against is our own bar, stated as ours.

ASCP publishes this itself, per credential, per year, back to 2007. In 2025, 5,873 people sat MLS and 69% passed — so nearly one in three did not. The number that matters more if you have already sat it: of those who went back and retook it that year, 58% failed again.
