Welcome to Capital Prep! These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Capital Prep’s services, products, and online content. By accessing or using any part of our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, you must not use or access our services.
- Acceptance of Terms
1.1 By enrolling in a course, accessing our materials, or purchasing our offerings, you confirm your acceptance of these terms and your agreement to be a party to this binding contract. If you do not agree, do not use Capital Prep’s services. - Subscription Services
2.1 We offer various subscription options for our materials and courses, which may be accessed on a recurring monthly basis until canceled by you.
2.2 Monthly subscriptions automatically renew each month on the same day of the original purchase, and your payment method will be charged accordingly until you cancel.
2.3 You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Capital Prep account settings or request a cancellation with our support team.
2.4 In the event of a price change, current subscribers will receive a 30-day notice prior to charges.
2.5 Subscription updates are non-refundable, and the subscription must be canceled prior to the date of update.
2.6 Subscription Pausing:- Eligibility for Pause: Subscribers may pause their subscription for a minimum of one month and a maximum of three months.
- Requesting a Pause: To initiate a subscription pause, subscribers must submit a request through their Capital Prep account profile page.
- Effects of Pausing: During the pause period, access to subscription-based resources will be suspended. The subscription and associated charges will automatically resume at the end of the pause period without the need for any additional action by the subscriber.
- Billing During Pause: There will be no charges during the pause period. The billing cycle will extend by the duration of the pause.
- Resumption of Services: At the end of the pause period, the subscription will automatically reactivate, and billing will resume on the new adjusted billing date, which accounts for the pause duration.
- Cancellation During Pause: If a subscriber chooses to cancel their subscription during the pause period, the cancellation will take effect immediately without a refund for any previous payments.
- General Account Registration
3.1 To access certain services, such as monthly subscriptions for study guides, you must create an account with Capital Prep.
3.2 You are required to provide current, complete, and accurate information during the registration process. - Capital Prep Certification Registration
4.1 Applying for the Capital Prep Certification program requires a separate, more rigorous registration process.
4.2 As a CPT applicant, you must provide detailed and precise information, which may include, but is not limited to, your educational background, proof of identity, and professional credentials.
4.3 This information must be verified for accuracy at the time of application, and you are obligated to update this information promptly if any changes occur during your certification process. - Account Responsibilities
5.1 For all accounts, whether for study guide subscriptions or Capital Prep certification, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
5.2 You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
5.3 Capital Prep reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if any provided information proves to be inaccurate, not current, or incomplete. - Account Security
6.1 You agree to immediately notify Capital Prep of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
6.2 Capital Prep will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation. - Fees and Payments
7.1 Capital Prep accepts payments through various methods, including credit cards, PayPal, and more.
7.2 By subscribing to our services or purchasing our products, you agree to pay all applicable fees or charges to your account based on Capital Prep’s fees, charges, and billing terms in effect at the time.
7.3 For the Exam Pass Guarantee, the preferred payment method is PayPal. - Refund Policy
8.1 Subscriptions: Subscribers can cancel their monthly subscriptions at any time. However, fees already paid are non-refundable, except in cases of demonstrated service non-performance by Capital Prep, where a prorated refund may be issued.
8.2 Non-Subscription Purchases: Our refund policy for non-subscription purchases (lifetime purchase) varies by product category. Please refer to specific terms provided at the time of purchase.
8.3 48-Hour Window: All customers, whether subscribing to monthly services or making a one-time lifetime access purchase, are entitled to request a refund within 48 hours of their purchase. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing within the specified 48-hour period following the original purchase.
8.4 Process: To request a refund, customers must contact our support team via chat support found at the bottom right of any Capital Prep website page or by email, with their purchase details.
8.5 Refund Method: Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment unless otherwise specified. - The Capital Prep Exam Pass Guarantee
9.1 Guarantee Overview: Capital Prep is committed to your success. If you utilize our MVP study program subscription or Lifetime MVP study program for your certification exam and fail, you are eligible for a refund of your purchase and the additional cost of the certification exam retake for the purchased program’s official exam. We will also upgrade your subscription to a lifetime membership to continue using and ensure you pass your exam.- 9.1a – NSCA CSCS retake fee for non-members is $475, or $340 for members. Retaking one section only costs $385 for non-members, $250 for members.
- 9.1b – NASM CPT retake fee is $199.
- 9.1c – ACE CPT retake fee is $249.
- 9.1d – NSCA CPT retake fee is $435 for non-members, $300 for members.
- 9.1e – ACSM CPT retake fee is $199.
- 9.1f – ISSA CPT retake fee is $99.
- 9.1g – NCSF CPT retake fee is $99.
- 9.1h – NASM CES retake fee is $99.
- 9.1i – NASM PES retake fee is $99.
- 9.1j – NASM CNC retake fee is $199.
- 9.1k – ISSA Nutritionist retake fee is $199.
9.2 Eligibility:
- 9.2a – You must have actively and consistently used our MVP study program as your primary study resource.
- 9.2b – Your exam confidence score within our study system must be in the green, indicating approximately 8,000 confidence points, before taking the certification exam.
- 9.2c – You must notify Capital Prep within 30 days of receiving your certification exam results if you fail the exam.
- 9.2d – Purchases made before May 1, 2024, are subject to the previous refund policy.
- 9.2e – Exams must be taken within 30 days of the end of your subscription or within the subscription period.
9.3 Claiming the Guarantee:
- 9.3a – To claim under the Exam Pass Guarantee, contact our support team with official proof of your exam failure and evidence of your exam confidence score being in the green area or having 8,000 confidence points.
- 9.3b – You must request your refund within the 30-day period following your exam date.
- 9.3c – The refund does not apply to non-proctored exams or single-attempt exams.
9.4 Refund Details: Refunds under this guarantee include the cost of your total subscription or study program and the additional cost of the certification exam retake for the purchased program’s official exam.
- Intellectual Property
10.1 All materials, including courses, content, logos, and trademarks, are owned by Capital Prep or its licensors.
10.2 You may not use, alter, or distribute these materials except as explicitly authorized through a licensed agreement. - License and Access
11.1 Capital Prep grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Capital Prep materials for your personal and non-commercial use.
11.2 This license does not include any resale or commercial use of any Capital Prep service or its contents. - Limitations on Use
12.1 You may not modify copies of any materials.
12.2 You may not use any illustrations, photographs, videos, or audio sequences separately from the accompanying text.
12.3 You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the services.
